Kinoautomat is the first interactive film in the world's cinema history. Long before "participation" became a buzz word in media studies, Czech film maker Radúz Činčera created the film inviting the spectators to decide about the plot by voting with the specialised equipment. The multimedia project "Kinoautomat: One Man and His House" first screened at Expo Montreal in 1967. Having been buried by the cultural apparatchiks of the communist Czechoslovakia for several decades, the project was resurrected in 2007 and made available to the international audience. The special screening will be organised for EC2016 attendants in the historical cinema with original voting equipment and the host of the show.
