Abstract submission CLOSED, almost 2000 proposals submitted
The online abstract submission is CLOSED as of 1 March 2016.
We are happy to announce that almost 2000 abstracts has been submitted in 21 ECREA thematic sections through our website, including 1584 proposals for individual papers, 65 panel proposals and 29 poster submissions.
It is a record number of abstract submissions for ECREA conferences, organisers would like to thank all authors who have sent their proposals for the ECC 2016.
The notifications on evaluation results will be sent to the authors by 30 April.

Conference Pre-Call: ECREA's 6th European Communication Conference
European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) and Charles University in Prague cordially invite you to the 6th European Communication Conference (ECC) to be held in Prague 9 - 12 November 2016. The call for proposals will be launched on 1 December 2015.
The conference, due to take place in Prague from 9 to 12 November 2016, has chosen as its overarching theme Mediating (Dis)Continuities: Contesting Pasts, Presents and Futures.
The call for proposals will be launched on 1 December 2015 and will close on 29 February 2016.
Proposals for panels, individual papers and posters can be submitted to one of the 21 ECREA sections from 1 December 2015 to 29 February 2016 through the ECREA's 6th European Communication Conference website.

Upload centre available to all speakers is connected with each presentation room, which means, that all presentations uploaded in the centre will be automatically copied directly to the screen of the respective meeting room. Skilled technicians will help you upload your presentation or even make changes and improvements to provide the best experience to both speakers and audience. The system will also keep the smooth session flow in the meeting room.

The Academic Parent’s Guide to Prague
For delegates of the ECC 2016, their carers/partners and their little ones.
Tereza is a mother of a 2.5-year-old toddler. She has experience of living in Prague and London with a child.
Aristea is a mother of a 21-month-old toddler who will travel to Prague, and the Vice Chair of the DCC Section.
Together, they have put together this little guide, to help other academic parents in Prague for the conference. Please get in touch!

Welcome party
On Thursday 10 November at 19:00, doors of the Neo-Renaissance National House of Vinohrady will open for the conference attendants in its three halls. Large areas will be available for meeting friends, eating, drinking and celebrating. One of the rooms will recreate the spirit of Prague in the 1920s and 1930s by the sound of swing.
Dresscode (optional): Swing.

Thanks to all participants to be part of the European Communication Conference 2016!
Almost 1400 delegates from 58 countries arrived to Prague and they presented 711 individual papers, 111 posters and 52 panels. We hope everybody enjoyed the presentations and discussions as well as the social life of the conference.
